PART TWO: AUTOMATING ‘SOCIAL MEDIA’ SCREENING OF CANDIDATES

Social Media Background Screening

Our previous post via our own AIS social media provided a synopsis of why cyber-vetting is on the rise among hirers, compounded by social distancing. Template resumes ooze with the right words but may not provide a window to the candidate’s authentic character and cultural fit into the workplace. Within reason, a plethora of social media platforms is at the fingertips of an employer who seeks due diligence.

Even with the candidate’s authorisation, there must be a smarter way to extract relevant information from a minefield of posted and shared data, photos, videos, messages and likes.

Hence, AIS International Group is delighted to launch our new Social Media Screening service as an integral addition to our background screening suite.

With the candidate’s authorisation, you can submit the identity details and we take the ‘deep dive’ for you into LinkedIn, FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.

During our Social Media search, every post and image is analysed and flagged for the nominated risk classifications plus any customised keywords.

Our Artificial-Intelligence powered Social Media Screening service identifies job-relevant social media and other online content that has been created, posted, shared, or interacted with by a candidate.

The result is in real time and delivered to you within the hour.

Using machine learning algorithms, our cloud-based solution analyses text and images across twelve distinct risk classifications, including the content of images:

Hate speech; insults and bullying; narcotics; obscene language; political speech; self-harm; threats of violence; toxic language; custom keywords; drug-related images; explicit images; violent images.

An AIS Social Media search will flag a post when there is at least one risk category with a probability beyond a set threshold. If a post has more than one risk category, the post will flag the higher probability category. It is possible to have a post and an associated image flagged at the same time. For reposts/retweets, likes and replies, both the original poster’s text and images, as well as comments on the repost from your subject are analysed in determining a level of risk.

Inquiries are welcome as this new service is available either separately or as part of our comprehensive background screening suite of checks.
